The Shafer Gallery at Barton County Community College is closed for the holidays, and the quilt exhibit has been sent to Harlingen, Texas, where it will be on display next at the Harlingen Heritage Museum.   A recent press release erroneously stated Dec. 20 was the final date for the exhibit, gallery administration said, offering their apologies for the error.The gallery will reopen Jan. 16 with the show, “Prairie Pulse,” featuring works by Christina Lamoureaux.  More information will be available closer to the opening, including details about the opening reception.
