The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a three vehicle accident occurred Monday evening at 5:08 p.m. on US281 at milepost 109 approximately 5.5 miles North of Great Bend.  
Kira Cook, 14, of Great Bend, was Northbound U-281 stopped waiting to make a turn into a private drive. Shane A. Stevenson, 24, of Great Bend, driving a 1980 Chevy El Camino, rear ended Cook’s 2002 Dodge Dakota. Cook’s vehicle entered the Southbound lanes and struck Wells, Michael B. Wells, 30, of Great Bend driving a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis.   Cook came to rest on the passenger side and Wells entered the West ditch.  All three drivers were wearing seat belts.  Cook was transported to Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington and Wells and Stevenson were transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital in Great Bend..  Conditions weren’t available as of press time.
