Two arrested in shooting

On Friday, the Great Bend Police Department with the assistance of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Barton County Sheriff’s Office, Kansas Highway Patrol, Barton County Communications and the Barton County Attorney’s Office, located two more victims to the shooting in the 1400 block of Second Street on Wednesday.
The victims did not want to be located but through the investigation of officers, were found and interviewed in Great Bend.
One victim, Amy Melton was treated and released for a gunshot wound to a leg.
The other victim was Robert Cash Scheuerman who was sent to Wichita by ambulance to be treated for a gunshot wound to an arm and a gunshot wound to the stomach area.
During the investigation of this case, two suspects, both adult males, were located in Great Bend and arrested for the crime of attempted murder. One was arrested in the 2200 block of 29th St., and the other was arrested in the 1000 block of Grant St.
