HOISINGTON — The search in the Hoisington area for a fugitive from Virginia is over as 34-year-old Jason McKinna has been captured.
Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir said McKinna was hiding in the 700 block of E. 3rd St. in Hoisington in an outbuilding of a vacant house.
Bellendir said both ends of the street were blocked off and the suspect was taken without incident at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
McKinna is wanted by the U.S. Marshal for weapons parole violations in Virginia.
