You could say this is all about water under the bridge, except it’s really more about water out of the faucet and a job well done after a lot of years of public service in Great Bend.
Public Works Department Secretary Laurie Bard reports that one of the city staffers who has made sure that water was good is retiring and will be honored later this week.
Bard said an open house to recognize Water Superintendent Larry Jimison has been planned to run from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Thursday, at the Public Works Office, 525 Morton.
The event is open to everyone who wants to wish Jimison well in his retirement, she added.
