Area youths will present a fresh adaptation of the classic fairy tale “Cinderella” at 7 p.m. Friday at the Crest Theater. Admission is free.
This is the Great Bend Recreation Commission’s 19th annual youth summer theater production. The cast of 30 children, ages 6-15, has been practicing for five weeks under the direction of Paul Martin and assistants Tammy Bell and Carolyn Spracklin.
Playful new characters such as the mice – Nibbles, Squeaky, Sweetie-Pie, Nosy, Diamond, Bugsy and Cheese-head – and some fun to the age-old story.
Many of the children have performed in previous GBRC summer theater products.
This year’s performers are:  Thomas Armatys, Aaron Clark, Malia Clark, Hayden Ensley, Elena Grauerholz, Ava Gregg, Madelynn Gregg, Jenna Higgins, Karson Higgins, Madison Jones, Kennedy Kern, Taylor Lashley, Emma Loomis, Hannah Loomis, Haley McCormick, Kylie McCormick, Caden McGee, Lilly Morrison, Dinah Newman, Mackenzie Newsome, Taylor Newsome, Ashley Reddig, Fernanda Rodriguez, Caden Rowan, Curtis Schneweis, Hannah Serna, Sarah Serna, Elly Somers, Nicole Strecker and Alisha Wheeler.
