LARNED — Fifteen members and guests met on Tuesday in the fellowship hall of the First Presbyterian Church.  
Colleen Wolf read a thank you note from John and Nancy Blackwell and thanked members for their outstanding contribution to the recent Quilting Celebration.  A thank you was given to Wolf for obtaining many of the door prizes given at the celebration.
Discussion was held on a display of quilts for the Tired Iron Show on Oct. 10 and 11 provided that the display is monitored.
Additional discussion was held on restarting the fat quarter drawings and a round of friendship quilt blocks to be given to those new members who have joined in the last year.
Announcements included the Timken Methodist Church quilters request for large pieces of fabric for backing of quilts and the 100th anniversary community quilt currently on display at the Jordaan Library.  Ann Hicks distributed the next step materials for the “Cat” wall hanging and Diane Schultz distributed the August placemat directions.  The next regular meeting will be held on July 7.
Show and Tell participants were Alice Clapsaddle, child’s dress in red seersucker for the Pawnee County Fair in July; Mary Weber, easy double-sided lap quilt; Merlene Baird, Mystery quilt in lavender/blue-green/cream and a wall hanging using South Dakota fabric; Gayle Fanshier, baby blanket for a boy using owl flannel.
