Fish Fry Fridays start Feb. 23

The Hoisington Knights of Columbus will hold Fish Fry Fridays on Feb. 23, March 9 and March 23 at the K of C Club. Serving hours will be 5:30-7 p.m. for “all-you-can-eat” Alaskan pollock, scalloped potatoes, coleslaw and drinks. Dine in or carry-out will be available. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children 4-11 years old, and children under 4 eat free.
All proceeds support area charities.

Seventh-day Adventist School taking fruit orders

The Great Bend Seventh-day Adventist Elementary School is placing its spring order for fruit from the Bithell Farms in Oregon. Orders placed by Feb. 28 will arrive in late April or early March.
A variety of fruits and freezer jams and purees are available. The fruit is quick frozen in 14-pound boxes and easily separated if kept frozen.
Added this year are wild salmon fillets and halibut fillets.
The order will be available at the school, located one mile west of Patton Road on 10th Street on West Barton County Road.

Lenten Suppers start Feb. 16 at St. Rose

Prince of Peace Parish will offer Lenten Suppers on five Fridays, starting Feb. 16. Meals will be served at 6 p.m. at St. Rose Auditorium, 1412 Baker Ave.
Dates and the planned menus are:
- Feb. 16, cheese pizza
- Feb. 23, vegetable soup
- March 2, chilaquiles with toppings
- March 9, spaghetti with marinara sauce
- March 16, spinach quiche
A freewill donation with a suggested donation of $5 will be accepted to benefit the Widow’s Mite offering for Emergency Aid.
