• Trinity Lutheran Church in Otis will have a special celebration honoring Pastor Bruce Adamson on the 35th anniversary of his ordination. The service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21, with special music provided by Prairie Timbre +1. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Susan Candea, the Bishop’s Associate with the ELCA Synod.
• Gold Girls Club, a ministry of teenage girls, is sponsoring “A Reflection of Christ,” a conference for women and teenage girls, featuring author Kris Goertzen from Hutchinson. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, in the Perkins Party Room, 2920 10th St., Great Bend. Registrations will be available at the door from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. Cost is $30 for adults and $15 for girls 12 to 18 years old. Lunch and snacks are included. • See You At the Pole will be at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24. A See You at the Pole Rally will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, in the Great Bend High School Auditorium. Any teen who would like to participate on the worship team or video skits should call Jeremy Guthrie, 620-786-4572.
• The 1980 motion picture “The Gods Must Be Crazy” will be shown at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, at the Dominican Sisters of Peace, 3600 Broadway Ave. Discussion and refreshments follow. A freewill offering will be accepted to offset the cost of refreshments.  
• Heartland Center for Spirituality, 3600 Broadway Ave. in Great Bend, will hold SpiritLife classes on Saturday, Sept. 20. • The Great Bend Seventh-day Adventist Elementary School is placing its fall order for fruit from the Bithell Farms in Oregon. Place orders by Sept. 30 and the fruit will arrive in late October or early November. The fruit will be available at the school one mile west of Patton Road on 10th Street (W. Barton Co. Road).
