• Aglow Lighthouse meets at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at Perkins Restaurant, 2920 10th St., Great Bend. Coffee and social time will be followed by a program at 9:30 a.m. with featured speaker Mary Bieberle.
• St. Paul Lutheran Church in Galatia will host a homemade ice cream social from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14. Cakes, pies and cookies will be served with the ice cream and various toppings.
• Monday, Sept. 15, is the final day of the Community Coat Drive sponsored by Trinity United Methodist Church. Bring coats to Master Cleaners, 4600 10th St. Pl.; the church, 5700 Broadway Ave.; or any Great Bend USD 428 school.
• Presbyterian Women at First Presbyterian Church are taking orders for decorative bags of Schermer’s Georgia pecans during September. Phone orders can be made by calling the church office, 792-2594.
• See You At the Pole will be at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24. A See You at the Pole Rally will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, in the Great Bend High School Auditorium. Any teen who would like to participate on the worship team or video skits should call Jeremy Guthrie, 620-786-4572.
• The 1980 motion picture, “The Gods Must Be Crazy” will be shown at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, at the Dominican Sisters of Peace, 3600 Broadway Ave. A freewill offering will be accepted to offset the cost of refreshments.  
• Heartland Center for Spirituality, 3600 Broadway Ave. in Great Bend, will hold SpiritLife classes on Saturday, Sept. 20.
