City Church Ministries, along with Great Bend Christians, will hold their second citywide Christian event at 6 p.m. March 22 at the Best Western Courtyard in Great Bend.
Mike Richardson with Church City Ministries said everyone who can afford to is asked to bring a covered dish or other food item. Those who cannot are encouraged to come enjoy a lot of good food and time with Christians who care. A time of food and fellowship will be followed by a time of testimony from Christian leaders on what God is doing in the community.
Richardson will talk about new social media pages on Facebook, designed for City Church Ministries to connect area Christians 24/7 to better reach out to the community. These can be seen at www.CityChurchMinistries.com. and www.GBChristians.com.
“Great Bend Christians is now over 200 strong and the groundwork is being laid as we speak to start these pages and community events in other communities as well,” he said. “I will be announcing two new administrators to help grow this outreach in Great Bend as we continue to expand and help other communities as well.”
Kimberly Becker from the Central Kansas Dream Center will talk about that ministry’s vision.
Another scheduled speaker is Lorrie Holloway from the Breakout Worship service, which schedules monthly meetings at Perkins Restaurant to pray for revival. Their next service will be at 7 p.m. March 21.
Richardson said there may be additional speakers. “These are exciting times for the Community of Great Bend,” he said. “We are really seeing many ministries as well begin to work with and support each other with the community in mind.”
