The Youth Workers Alliance of Great Bend is hosting an “End of School Year Bash 2011” event today at CrossPoint Church Great Bend. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. and all ages are invited. The “End of School Year Bash” will consist of 4 live bands: Brian Brillhart, Jamison, (local band) Echelon, The Lost Colors, and guest speaker Andy Addis. There will be a $5 ticket price at the door and children 10 and under are free.
Andy Addis, the guest speaker for the evening, is a Great Bend native who grew up and graduated from Great Bend High School. The evening music will range from hip-hop, southern rock, hard rock, to indie rock. There will also be concessions sold to help raise funds to support the Y.W.A. (Youth Workers Alliance).
The Y.W.A. is made up of local Youth Pastors and Senior Pastors from several churches in our community. The Y.W.A. is working together to bring positive events to this area. Any church within our community is welcome to join the Y.W.A. and help plan and administrate several new events.
