ELLINWOOD — Immanuel United Church of Christ is pleased to announce the installation of the Rev. Jennifer Fair as pastor and teacher of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Ellinwood.  The installation will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 12, at the church, located at 701 Fritz St. Holy Communion will be celebrated at this service. Edith Guffey, Conference Minister of the Kansas Oklahoma Conference of the United Church of Christ, will serve as preacher for the service. The service is open to the public.  
Installation is the rite in the United Church of Christ which confirms and celebrates the covenantal relationship among a local congregation, its pastor and the wider United Church of Christ.  
Pastor Jennifer Fair was ordained on Oct. 28, 2012, at Faith United Church of Christ in Ridgway, Pennsylvania.  She has been serving as pastor-elect of Immanuel United Church of Christ since Sept. 21, 2014. Pastor Fair has earned a Master’s of Divinity from Lancaster Theology Seminary and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Previous to serving Immanuel United Church of Christ, Pastor Fair served St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Punxsutawney, Pa.  She is also a member of the religious society The Order of Corpus Christi.
