Kay Wright, Kansas Aglow prayer coordinator, will be the speaker when Great Bend Aglow meets Saturday at Perkins. Sign-in is at 9 a.m. and the meeting starts at 9:30 p.m.
Kay and her husband served churches in Oklahoma and Texas. The death of a child brought crisis to the family ending in divorce and heartbreak, with Kay rearing her three children as a single mother for five years. The loving kindness of God brought deliverance from sorrow and rejection, and replaced them with great peace and joy to her soul. Kay and her husband, Greg, a retired school teacher, reside in Girard. They have 5 children and 9 grandchildren.
Kay will be using the scripture in Philippians 3:10 “…That I may know HIM and the power of HIS resurrection and fellowship of HIS sufferings…focusing all my energies on this one thing…forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. …I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
