Movie 'Romero' to be shown at Motherhouse

Heartland Center for Spirituality in Great Bend will show the 1989 movie “Romero” at 6:15 p.m. Friday, March 28, at the Dominican Sister Motherhouse, 3600 Broadway Ave. The movie is part of the “Movies with a Message” series.
Oscar Romero was Archbishop in El Salvador during the 1970s, a time of ruthless oppression, which he confronted on many occasions. This movie recounts his life, ministry and assassination while celebrating Mass in 1980. Run time is 102 minutes.
Refreshments will be served, and there will be discussion time after the movie. A freewill donation is requested.
The last movie in the series will be “Babette’s Feast,” which will be shown Friday, April 25.
