St. Ignatius of Loyola's Fiesta announced

KANOPOLIS — St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 127 North Missouri St., Kanopolis, will hold its annual fundraiser for the St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish on Saturday, Aug. 30. The fiesta will start when the Mexican food stand opens at 11 a.m.  It remain be open until the food is sold out.
According to sponsors, the parish has a history of making fresh, authentic Mexican food for more than 75 years. Food is made from scratch during the days before the fiesta.
The Mexican heritage of the parish community will also be celebrated at the 4 p.m. Mass.
At 5 p.m., following Mass, there will be bingo and games open for the whole family. There is also a drawing for prizes, including a $500 top prize and other prizes donated from many community sponsors.
This event is sponsored by the St. Ignatius Parish Council and Ladies Altar Society. Father Steve Heina is pastor.
