United Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Milberger will be hosting a homemade ice cream social and bake sale on Sunday, August 2, from
5 to 8 p.m. at the church.  Milberger is located between Galatia and Russell on Hwy 281.
A free-will offering will be taken for the ice cream and bake sale items as priced.  Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy ice cream, baked goods, and good fellowship.  The proceeds will benefit the medical funds of Caroline Harbaugh and Carl Radke.  A portion of the proceeds for Caroline will be matched by Kans for Kids Fighting Cancer.  The 11-month old girl is the first child to be helped by by Kans for Kids Outreach Russell County.
