An all-units chase by Barton County law enforcement ended in a rollover crash that left two people seriously injured Thursday, Dec 28th afternoon.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Terrick Sidney Wilkins, 19, Greeley, Colo., driving a 2014 Nessan Altima, was fleeing from Barton County officers in a high speed chase at approximately 12:38 p.m. northbound on U.S. 281, 12 miles north of U.S. 56 in the county. With him was passenger Reanna Renee Llamas, 20, also of Greeley, Colo.

At approximately mile marker 116, Wilkins failed to navigate a curve, causing the vehicle to veer off the roadway to the right. The car then struck a culvert and rolled.

Wilkins was transported to Wesley Medical Center with suspected serious injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the KHP reported.

Llamas was transported to Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington with suspected serious injuries. She also was not wearing a seat belt, the KHP said.
