Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir issued a release Monday afternoon seeking the public’s help locating a wanted individual.

“Local law enforcement is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a wanted fugitive,” the release stated. “Authorities are looking for José Torres, Jr. Torres is Hispanic male, 38 years old, 180 pounds, 5 feet 8 inches tall, brown (eyes) and brown (hair) with numerous tattoos. Torres is wanted for a corrections violation out of Barton County with a $50,000 bond.
