Two residents of Sugar Land, Texas, were taken to Hays Medical Center with possible injuries Monday after their westbound sport utility vehicle was rear-ended by a car on Interstate 70 in Ellis County.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred at 8:04 p.m., 3.2 miles west of Hays.
Jenae M. Chegwidden, 18, from Ellsworth was driving a 2003 Pontiac. She was not injured. Her car struck a 2008 Hyundai driven by Nicole M. Angulo, 23, of Sugar Land, with passenger Steve Angulo, 55.
All three were wearing seat belts. Both vehicles were towed by Auggie’s.
