June 18
An officer responded to the 300 block of 2nd Street in reference to a possible criminal damage report.
June 20
An officer responded to the 300 block of 5th Street in reference to an animal complaint. The owner was contacted.
June 27
An officer responded to the 200 block of 2nd Street in reference to a theft case. The suspect was a family member. No charges requested.
June 28
An officer responded to the high school in reference to a citizen assist with keys locked in the vehicle.
An officer responded to the city office in reference to a dog at large. The dog was returned to the owner in the county.
June 30
An officer responded to the 100 block of C Street in reference to a pit bull complaint. The owner was contacted and advised of the city’s ordinance against pit bulls. The dog is an American Bully. This issue will be discussed at the council meeting on July 9.
An officer responded to the 200 block of 3rd Street in reference to a Community Corrections violation. The Corrections Officer was notified and advised of the incident.
July 1
An officer responded to the 300 block of 2nd Street in reference to a fireworks complaint. The person was contacted and advised of the City’s ordinance that only allows for discharge of fireworks on the 4th of July.
An officer responded to the area of 2nd and Williamson in reference to a loud explosion report. The area was checked and no damage was found.
July 3
An officer responded to the police department in reference to a trespassing complaint in the 300 block of 3rd Street. The suspect was contacted and advised to stay off the reporting parties’ property.
July 4:
An officer responded to the 100 block of 8th Street in reference to a dog at large. The dog was returned to the owner by the reporting party.

Public Nuisance Complaints:
June 18
A notice to appear in the Claflin Municipal Court was filled out on the owner of a property in the 300 block of 7th Street. The NTA was taken to the Barton County Sheriff’s Office for service. On June 19 the Sheriff’s Office served the NTA on the person in Great Bend.
June 25
The owner of a property in the 300 block of B Street was contacted and advised to remove the downed trees in his back yard.
The occupant of a residence in the 300 block of A Street was advised to mow in the alley by his trash cans.
July 2
The owner of a property in the 500 block of 2nd Street was advised to mow the back yard of the property. The owner was advised an NTA will be served if this property is not kept mowed.
