Great Bend Fire Department

 

Firefighters made eight ambulance runs Wednesday, Nov. 24, two Thursday, eight Friday, three Saturday, nine Sunday and 10 Monday.

Other calls include a carbon monoxide check on Nov. 24 and another on Sunday. There was an unauthorized burn on Friday.

On Thanksgiving day, firefighters were called to a vehicle fire at 16th and Van Buren at 6:32 p.m. There was also a small ditch fire in the 600 block of SW 40 Ave.

 

Great Bend Police

A vehicle driven by David Nachtigal was westbound on 24th St. at 7:28 a.m. Monday and struck a vehicle driven by Jennifer Ogden that was northbound on Main and ran the red light.

Theft of Kansas license plate 906DHK was reported from 413 Walnut St. over the noon hour Monday.

A truck that was previously reported stolen was located Monday.

A vehicle driven by Lenora Hutton was westbound in the 3200 block of Broadway at 12:58 p.m. Monday and struck the back of a vehicle driven by Melonie Kinsinger who was stopped in traffic.

Theft of rental property was reported Monday. The property was located but a theft case was done.

A party reported criminal damage to property Monday after a previous tenant allegedly damaged the walls and doors in a residence.

A theft of services case was taken Monday after someone reportedly stole electricity from the residence at 308 Plum St.
