Great Bend Fire Department

 

Firefighters made 10 ambulance runs on Wednesday. At 11:50 p.m. they were dispatched to a small ditch fire at 487 North Washington.

 

Great Bend Police

A vehicle driven by Corbin Cale was southbound on Harrison St. at 2:57 p.m. Wednesday and struck a vehicle driven by Sandra Smith, which was also southbound on Harrison at Broadway Ave.

Theft of a purse and its contents from an unlocked vehicle at 1314 Morphy St. was reported Wednesday.

Someone cut an inflatable showman yard decoration at 2717 Coronado Ave., it was reported Wednesday.

 

Barton County Sheriff

Three vehicles were involved in a non-injury accident in the 100 block of North U.S. 281 at 6:41 p.m. Wednesday. One lane of traffic was shut down for a time.

Booked Dec. 29

Edith Chaloupek, Stafford — Stafford County charges for driving under the influence second conviction, driving against restrictions and left of center. Later she was also booked on a Stafford County warrant for contempt.

Martin I. Rodriguez Jr., Great Bend — Driving while a habitual violator and no insurance

Released Dec. 29

Shawn Corkill, Great Bend — $500 surety bond

Kirstie Perez, Great Bend — $1,000 surety bond

Aaron WHittington, Hutchinson — Partial sentence served

Devin Messersmith, Hubbard — Sentence served in full

Martin I. Rodriguez Jr. — $1,000 bond
