Great Bend Police Chief Steven Haulmark reports two suspects were arrested Monday afternoon after the GBPD Detectives and Special Service Team executed search warrants at 1123 Stone St., Apt. B, and 2817 20th St. around 3:55 p.m. The warrants were for an ongoing investigation regarding multiple burglaries.
Upon entry at the Stone Street apartment, officers made contact with Eric Torres, 39, and Rebecca Muckenthaler, 41.
“During a thorough search of the properties, stolen property regarding these investigations were recovered at the residence of 2817 20th St.,” Haulmark stated in a news release. “Detectives also located methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.”
Torres was arrested for burglary, possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and no drug tax stamp. He was transported to the Barton County Jail where he was booked on these charges and released after posting a $20,000 surety bond.
Muckenthaler was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and no drug tax stamp. She was transported to the jail where she was booked on these charges and released after posting a $10,000.00 cash bond.
