Firefighters made eight ambulance runs Thursday, five Friday, eight Saturday and five Sunday. There were no fires, but there was one false alarm on Saturday that was caused by a system malfunction.

A vehicle driven by Jose Magadan was westbound on 10th St. at 8 p.m. Friday and struck a vehicle driven by Mary Barlow that was turning north onto Washington.

Police were called to the Central Kansas Medical Center emergency room at 2:40 a.m. Saturday. They were told there had been a fight at an unknown location, but the victim refused to give any information.

Someone keyed a car parked at 1215 Van Buren, it was reported Saturday. Damage was $300.

Someone cut a lock on the toolbox in the back of a truck at 3214 Lakin Ave. and took the box and approximately $3,000 worth of hand tools, it was reported Saturday.

A forgery case was taken Saturday after a male allegedly used a check on an account that did not have his name on it.
