Driver injured on I-70
KHP patch

A motorist who fell asleep while driving on Interstate 70 in Russell County was taken to Russell Regional Hospital Wednesday morning. Kansas Highway Patrol reports Dennis Michael Butcher, 46, of Pahrump, Nevada, fell asleep while driving east on I-70 at 6:32 a.m. The 1999 GMC truck struck a guardrail in the median, then traveled back across eastbound lanes of the Interstate, rolling an unknown amount of times before it came to rest on its side in the south ditch. Butcher, who was wearing a seat belt, had suspected minor injuries.
