KHP patch

A truck driver received what were believed to be serious injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday in Stafford County.

Kansas Highway Patrol reports Eugene Daryl Dennis, 60, of Wichita, was driving a northbound 2020 Freightliner pulling a Polar trailer on U.S. 281, 3 miles north of U.S. 50, when he blacked out for an unknown reason. The truck drifted onto the east shoulder and into the ditch. It then went through a brick wall of a cemetery, damaging the wall and several headstones. Dennis was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
