A Claflin woman was taken to Ellinwood District Hospital with possible head injuries following a one-vehicle rollover early Sunday in Barton County. Other passengers in the Nissan Xterra refused treatment at the scene, and officers from the Barton County Sheriff’s Office still weren’t sure on Monday who was driving the car.
Kelli Krier, 25, was transported to the hospital by Ellinwood Fire and Ambulance. According to reports, the driver failed to negotiate the curve on NE 100 Ave. at NE 30 Road, around 1:45 a.m. The car struck a barbwire fence and entered a pasture, where it struck a creek embankment, then struck the opposite side of the creek and flipped onto its top.
The BCSO reports no one in the car was wearing a seat belt. Other passengers were Kurt Talbott, 24, Pratt; and Robert Braden Miller, 25, Hays.
