The Barton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-vehicle crash at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at NE 20 Road and NE 100 Ave. Rita Y. Orndoff, 62, of Ellinwood was driving south in the 100 block of NE 100 Ave. when she lost control of a 2006 Nissan Murano. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled multiple times, coming to rest on its top in the east ditch.

Orndoff was transported to the University of Kansas Health System - Great Bend Campus and then flown to a Wichita hospital for treatment. She had been wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.

Ellinwood Police Department and EMS also responded. Information on her condition was unavailable.
