Great Bend Police
Thursday reports:
A theft at 811 Maple St. was reported.
A vehicle driven by Maritza Martinez was backing west in the 1500 block of 10th St. at 3:22 p.m. and struck a vehicle driven by Jeff Hock, who was also backing.
Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made two ambulance runs on Tuesday, two Wednesday and three Thursday, plus one standby on Tuesday.
There was a small fire at the 714 Wilson St. residence at 3:38 a.m. Friday, caused by a cigarette butt. Damage was minimal.
There was also a grass fire on Friday.
Barton County Sheriff
On Thursday a Great Bend resident reported an unknown person used his credit card number to make a $758.50 purchase in Collinswill, Ill.
A vehicle hit a deer on NE 100 Ave. and NE 100 Road at 7:13 p.m. Thursday. Kansas Highway Patrol responded.
A 22-year-old male was transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital at 12:40 a.m. Friday after drinking large amounts of alcohol. He was unresponsive but breathing.
