Barton County Sheriff
A motorist fell asleep in the 200 block of West Barton County Road at 9:15 a.m. Saturday and put his vehicle in a ditch, damaging a stop sign. Kansas Highway Patrol responded.
A vehicle hit a deer in the 400 block of NE 30 Road at 9:24 p.m. Saturday. KHP responded.
The Backroads Bar & Grill at 575 Main St. in Galatia was broken into, it was discovered Sunday morning. The back door was kicked in, the cash register was on the floor and money was taken.
Someone used a golf club to smash a mail box in the 1400 block of NE 130 Road, it was reported Sunday. Part of the club was still there.
Justin Brewer was driving east on NW 110 Road at 6:41 a.m. Monday and swerved to avoid a log in the road. His truck went off the road and hit a tree.
Two tubing elevators were stolen off a pumping unit at 5400 Second St. and MacArthur Rod, it was reported Monday.
Theft of a valve and tank nipple from a tank battery near NE 150 Ave. and East Barton County Road was reported Monday.
A harassment by telephone report was taken Monday.
Great Bend Police
Monday reports:
An identity theft case was taken.
An aggravated burglary at 5501 Ninth ST. No. 97 was reported at 3:55 p.m. Medication and cash were taken.
The GBPD did an outside agency assist for law enforcement in Lyons, concerning recovered stolen property.
Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made five ambulance runs on Monday. They performed a carbon monoxide check at 1413 11th St. at 4:30 p.m., and responded to a fire under the Radium Bridge at 6:36 p.m.
