Great Bend Firefighters were called to extinguish a fire in a combine on the back of a semitrailer at 6 p.m. Sunday. The combine was on South U.S. 281 by SE 30 Road.
At 9:46 p.m., a tow truck driver reported a possible fire in the same combine, which was then at 36 K-156. On that occasion, it was determined to be steam coming from the combine.
