Great Bend Police arrested two individuals following a search Tuesday of a Great Bend residence which resulted in the detection of suspected narcotics.
According to a GBPD release, at approximately 5:17 p.m. Tuesday, members of the GBPD executed a narcotics search warrant at 1443 18th St. After a thorough search of the property, officers located methamphetamine, items of drug paraphernalia and prescription pills.
Tracy D. Thacker, 58, and John R. Schmidt, 47, were placed under arrest for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no drug tax stamp. Thacker and Schmidt were both transported to the Barton County Detention Center, where they were booked and released after each posted $10,000 surety bonds through ACE Bonding.
