KHP patch

Ann Marie Tournear, 43, Great Bend, suffered a fatal injury Saturday as the result of a motorcycle crash in Sedgwick County, Kansas Highway Patrol reports.

The crash occurred at 12:15 p.m. on K-96 at milepost 265.8, or west of 279th Street.

An unknown white Chevrolet pickup was eastbound on K-96, as were motorcycles driven by Ann Marie Tournear and Gregory L. Tournear, 47, Great Bend. The truck moved into lane two, causing Ann Marie Tournear to make an avoidance maneuver to avoid a collision. She lost control of the 2007 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic she was driving, causing it to roll and strike the other motorcycle, a 2001 Harley-Davidson Road Glide. Gregory Tournear had no apparent injuries.

Ann Tournear was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Wichita where she died as a result of her injuries.

Both of the Tournears were wearing helmets, KHP reports. The driver of the white Chevy pickup left the scene.
