A Hays man died Tuesday after a one-vehicle crash at 8:30 p.m. in Russell County. Kansas Highway Patrol reports Dustin J. Lohmeyer, 29, was ejected from the southbound 1992 Oldsmobile he was driving on 187th St. after the car entered the west ditch and the driver over-corrected. The car slid broadside over both lanes into the east ditch then became airborne into a field. It rolled several times, coming to rest facing northeast on the passenger side of the vehicle. Lohmeyer was not wearing a seat belt.
