Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made four ambulance runs on Tuesday.
At 1:26 p.m. they responded to an automatic fire alarm at Washington School, 2535 Lakin. There was no fire; the alarm was set off by cooking.
At 3:57 a.m. Wednesday they responded to a false alarm at 3213 25th St.

A motorist was driving east in the 4000 block of Broadway at 1:39 p.m. Tuesday and struck a vehicle that was stopped in traffic. The other driver then left the scene.
A known person allegedly took hygiene items and food from Walmart on Tuesday afternoon.
Marvin Curtis II was driving east on 16th at 4:33 p.m. Tuesday and struck a vehicle driven by Heather Swafford that was northbound on Hubbard.
Ashley Hernandez was driving north on MacArther Road at 4:49 p.m. Tuesday, failed to yield at a stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by Lloyd Anderson that was eastbound on 10th St.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked vehicle in the 1400 block of Morphy St.
Police were called after a disturbance at 5839 16th St. Terrace at 9:44 p.m. Tuesday. Martin L. Martinez allegedly punched a man, who had three crowns and a tooth knocked out. Martinez was arrested and booked into the county jail on one count of aggravated battery, with bond set at $20,000.
