Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made eight ambulance runs on Thursday. There were no fires.

 

Great Bend Police

A motorist was northbound in the left turn lane of Grant St. at 10th St. at 5:57 p.m. Thursday and struck a vehicle next to it driven by Debra Zecha, and then left the area.

Brian Witt was driving east in the 2500 block of Paseo Dr. at 10:56 p.m. Thursday when his vehicle lost traction and slid into a parked vehicle.

 

Barton County Sheriff

William Getman’s vehicle struck a trash can that was on K-96 at Heizer around 9:30 a.m. Thursday, causing approximately $350 damage to his vehicle.

A woman called 911 at 2:19 p.m. Thursday because her mother refused to take her to Great Bend to get her children. The sheriff’s office advised they would not give her a ride and to stop calling 911 unless there is an emergency.
