Great Bend Police

Theft of a decal from a car at 5501 Apache Road was reported Friday.

Someone entered the residence at 708 Coolidge St. and damaged property, it was reported Friday.

A Great Bend resident reported someone using his identity in Illinois.

Vehicles driven by Kay Delaney and Leslie Hopkins collided at 10th and McKinley at 6:56 p.m. Friday.

A citizen and a Kansas Highway Patrol officer both reported hearing possible shots fired in an area between the 1000 block of Eighth St. and the 700 block of 10th St. at 9:10 p.m. Friday. Possible shots were also heard somewhere in the area of 23rd St. at 1:38 a.m. Saturday. Nothing was found.

Micheal Moore was driving west on 19th St. at 10:25 p.m. Friday and lost control on the ice. The vehicle hit a fence post. Moore left the scene but was found and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana.

A white Jeep that had been reported stolen from Hoisington was parked at the VFW Hall, 504 Washington St., at 4:31 p.m. Saturday. Hoisington Police Department responded and took care of the vehicle.

A $40 gas skip at 3907 Broadway was reported at 7:42 p.m. Sunday.

 

Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made seven ambulance runs Friday, one Saturday and seven Sunday.

There are two fire alarms Friday. At 5:14 p.m. they responded to an oven fire at 2808 28th St. There was no damage. At 5:27 p.m. they checked an electrical short in some conduit at 3821 10th St. after someone saw smoke. An electrician was called to fix the problem.

At 12:13 p.m. Saturday they responded to an automatic alarm at 2500 Rockbridge that was set off while cooking. There was also one false alarm Saturday.
