Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made five ambulance runs on Wednesday.

At 3:25 p.m. they responded to a controlled burn that got out of control at 201 Patton. Chief Mike Napolitano said it was a small fire and caused no damage.

 

Barton County Sheriff

Christopher Phillips was in an eastbound pickup on East Barton County Road when he started swerving at 10:41 a.m. Wednesday. The vehicle went into a ditch and rolled onto its top. Great Bend Ambulance responded.

Theft of production oil by Galatia was reported Wednesday.

 

Great Bend Police

Theft of Christmas decorations from 5400 Comanche Road was reported Wednesday.

At 5:20 a.m. Thursday, the owner of a vehicle at 3115 Forest Ave. discovered someone had stolen the stereo. Loss was $400.
