Larned woman injured in Tuesday Feb. 27 crash

PAWNEE COUNTY — A 37-year-old Larned woman was seriously injured Tuesday in a one-vehicle crash in rural Pawnee County near Garfield, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported. According to the KHP crash log, Agela F. Torres, 37, of Larned, was northbound at approximately 8:42 a.m. Tuesday on 180th Ave., near the intersection of River Road about one mile Southeast of Garfield, when the 2023 Hyundai she was driving went left of center. The vehicle then crossed the southbound lane and entered the west ditch, struck a power pole and then rolled once, coming to rest on its wheels in an adjacent field.

Torres was Lifewatched to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita with suspected serious injury. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the KHP reported.
