Little River man injured on U.S. 56

WINDOM — A tractor-trailer and a Ford Fusion collided at 5:41 p.m. Monday in McPherson County, resulting in injuries. Kansas Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred on US. 56, less than a mile from Windom.
The 2005 Kenworth semitrailer driven by James G. Burnham, 31, of Wichita, was stopped at a stop sign on 1st and U.S. 56.
Burnham turned eastbound onto the highway, failing to yield to the westbound 2011 Fusion, which hit the side of the Kenworth.
The car was driven by Kevin R. Karraker, 54, of Little River. Karraker was taken to McPherson Memorial Hospital with undetermined injuries.
Burnham and two passengers who were asleep in the sleeper berth were not injured.
Only the truck trailer was towed, by Auto House.
