Barton County Sheriff’s Office
A vehicle backed into a Barton County Sheriff’s Office patrol car while it was parked at Willy J’s, 206 North U.S. 281, it was discovered at 2:12 a.m. Sunday.
A mailbox at 94 NW 50 Road was hit by a vehicle sometime Friday night.
A girl, estimated to be 2-3 years old, was seen walking on U.S. 56 at Dundee over the noon hour on Sunday. The girl had gotten out of the house and walked to the highway; she was safely returned home.
A flatbed pickup and another vehicle were involved in a rear-end accident in the 3700 block of Railroad Ave. at 4:36 p.m. Sunday.
Great Bend Police
A hit-and-run vehicle was reportedly southbound in the 2400 block of Main St. at 9:54 a.m. Friday and sideswiped a Werth Heating vehicle.
Taycota S. Purcell was driving east on Fifth St. at 5:51 p.m. Friday when her vehicle slid on ice and hit a phone box.
A motorist in a black Ford SUV reportedly left 1315 10th St. without paying for $45.20 worth of fuel at 6:35 p.m. Friday.
A verbal argument while driving reportedly led to a non-injury accident at Broadway and Washington at 1:09 a.m. Saturday. Driver Tina Lea Merwin of Great Bend ran into the curb, damaging the driver’s side front wheel. She refused a breath test and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. The passenger left prior to officers arriving. Jason R. McKinnon called at 3:09 a.m. with questions about his wife being in jail. He was arrested on a previous warrant from Great Bend Municipal Court, and booked in lieu of $1,000 bond. Merwin was released after posting a $1,000 surety bond.
Shoplifting at 821 Main was reported Saturday.
A burglary at 901 Eighth St. was reported Saturday.
A Great Bend resident reported a sex offense Sunday afternoon.
Jedidiah Boyd, 31, was arrested Sunday night after allegedly texting a woman in violation of a stalking order. He was booked into the Barton County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bond.
Police were dispatched to 1305 MacArthur Road at 4:03 a.m. Monday, when Nathan Meyers reported three unknown males came into his residence and battered him. During the investigation Travis Myers, 25, admitted to battering Nathan and was arrested for battery domestic violence and booked into jail in lieu of $1,000 bond.

Firefighters made seven ambulance runs on Friday, three Saturday and eight Sunday.
There were no fires.
