Great Bend Police

Tuesday reports:

A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked vehicle at 1212 Garfield St.

Tools were stolen during a burglary at 1600 Kansas Ave.

An anonymous caller had questions about marriages to illegal immigrants.

A case was taken on alleged criminal use of a financial card.

An X-Box gaming system was stolen during a burglary at 2615 Lakin Ave.

 

Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made six ambulance runs on Monday and seven on Tuesday. There were no fires.

 

Albert Fire Department

A controlled burn at 1177 NW 10 Road got out of control when a gust of wind came up Tuesday morning. Albert Fire Department was dispatched at 10:45 a.m., but the fire was almost out when firefighters arrived.

 

Barton County Sheriff’s Office

A woman who is now a Barton County resident reported Monday that her vehicle and purse were stolen in 2004 in Arizona where she lived, and that an unknown subject used her Social Security number at work in Arizona in 2010. The victim was advised to contact Arizona authorities since that is where the alleged crime occurred.

At 12:36 a.m. Wednesday, it was reported that someone had kicked a dent in a car door in the parking lot at 3320 Railroad Ave.
