New grief support group formed

A new grief support group has started in Barton County. It meets from 6:30-8 p.m. every Tuesday at First Christian Church, located at 5230 Broadway Ave. in Great Bend.

Dementia Caregivers

Dementia Caregiver Support Group — For family members supporting and caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. Open format for information gathering, asking questions and sharing concerns. It provides an opportunity to learn strategies for caring for those with dementia. Meets from 5:30-7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month at Hoisington Public Library. Hosted by Clara Barton Hospital and Clinics and the KU Alzheimer’s Disease Center.
