Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer on U.S. 281, south of the brick plant, at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. Another motorist hit a deer on North U.S. 281 at 170 Road (about five miles north of the junction with K-4) after it ran out in front of her; she went on to work and a Russell dispatcher reported the accident at 6:48 a.m.

A vehicle driven by Madison Roach was westbound on 24th Street at 7:49 a.m. Tuesday and struck a vehicle driven by Sandra Feldman that was stopped on 24th at Morton.
Theft of a Craftsman toolbox and an oxygen machine from a pickup at 2922 16th St. was reported Tuesday.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked vehicle at 4107 10th St. on Tuesday.
Vehicles driven by Daria Sanchez and Bill Terry collided at 11:17 a.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of Kansas Avenue.
A burglary at 1102 Morphy St. was reported Tuesday. Tools were stolen.
Criminal damage to a fence on SE 10 Road was reported Tuesday.
A burglary at 5501 Ninth St. No. 97 was reported Tuesday. Medication was stolen.
