Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made six ambulance runs on Tuesday. At 1:30 p.m. they were dispatched to Great Bend Feeders to extinguish hay bails on fire.

Barton County Sheriff
A Ford Taurus driven by Michael Clark struck a deer in the 700 block of Se 30 Ave. at 5:52 a.m. Wednesday.
A non-injury accident involving a Chrysler Sebring on East U.S. 56 and East Barton County Road was reported at 6:26 a.m. Wednesday.

Great Bend Police
A vehicle driven by Marilyne Amerine was backing from a private drive at 1 p.m. Tuesday and struck a vehicle driven by Kymberle Werner, who was southbound in the 1000 block of Coolidge St.
Theft of a 1993 Ford pickup from 705 10th St. was reported Tuesday afternoon.
Theft of a laptop computer from 1104 Eisenhower Ave. was reported Tuesday.
A vehicular burglary at 328 Heizer St. was reported Tuesday. Compact discs and a speaker were taken.
Shortly before 2 a.m. on Wednesday, it was discovered that someone had damaged a sign at 4100 10th St. with a vehicle.
