Great Bend Fire Department
At 9:33 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to the 1800 block of Lakin Ave. for a report of grass smoldering.  They found some pampas grass that had burned and was still smoldering.
Firefighters also made three ambulance runs.

Kansas Highway Patrol
A Great Bend man was taken to Salina Regional Health Center in Salina Wednesday afternoon, following a motorcycle accident in McPherson County. Scott Earl Hilliard, 45, sustained undetermined injuries when he laid a 2011 Harley-Davidson motorcycle down on Interstate 35 after running into some tire tread from a semitrailer. The accident occurred at 1:10 p.m. near the Roxbury exit, just east of Lindsborg. Hilliard was not wearing a helmet.

Great Bend Police
A vehicle driven by Mary Mull was westbound on 24th St. at 3:36 p.m. Wednesday and struck a vehicle driven by Edith Treece, who was eastbound turning left.
A vehicle driven by Courtney Clark was eastbound on Broadway Ave. at 8:42 p.m. and struck a vehicle driven by Licia Keenan, who was also eastbound and stopped for an animal in the roadway.
A gas skip at 2334 Main was reported at 10:13 p.m. Wednesday.
