Barton County Sheriff

A fence along the south side of the business at 275 West Barton County Road was cut sometime last Thursday night or Friday morning, it was reported Tuesday.

A motorist was northbound on SE 160 Ave. at 6:12 p.m. Tuesday, reached for a pop and lost control of the vehicle, a Grand Am. The car entered the east ditch and rolled.

 

Great Bend Police

Two vehicles collided at a 16th St. intersection at 7:54 a.m. Tuesday.

A 31-year-old male reportedly sent his fiancee a text message at 1:48 a.m. Wednesday, saying he had been in a rollover accident and did not know where he was. The subject was not in an accident and was later located behind the residence. When asked if he was having a dispute with his girlfriend, he answered, "kind of."

Police arrested a 36-year-old woman at 4:19 a.m. Wednesday on a Barton County warrant for suspicion of theft, and found she had a Goodland woman’s checkbook.

Roy Kronvall, Brigham City, Utah — On an Ellinwood Municipal traffic case after granted 30 days to pay off fines, and served Barton County sentence in full

Richard Shadden, Great Bend — $20,000 own-recognizance bond
