Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made 10 ambulance runs Friday, one Saturday and three Sunday. There was one false alarm on Saturday, but there were no fires.

Great Bend Police
Someone damaged the phone lines at 2302 Main, it was reported Friday.
Leroy Smith was driving west on 10th St. changing lanes and struck a vehicle driven by Connie Roth, who was also westbound, at 12:53 p.m. Friday.
A vehicle driven by Ashley Ward struck a parked vehicle in the 2700 block of 28th St. at 7:36 p.m. Friday.
Police responded to a reported fight in progress in the 1100 block of Morphy St. at 2:38 a.m. Saturday. A man and woman, both 27 years old, said they were jumped, but would not give any information.
A gas skip involving a white Dodge pickup at 3620 10th St. was reported at 9:06 a.m. Saturday.
Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Van Buren St. at 1:58 p.m. Saturday when an anonymous caller saw a subject who  might have an outstanding warrant. Eric Torres, 26, was arrested on two outstanding warrants after a foot pursuit.
A vehicle driven by Wanda Heine was westbound on 10th St. at 6:04 p.m. Saturday and rear-ended a vehicle driven by Karen Bronson, who was stopped at the traffic light.
Reports of people hearing gunshots at 10:23 p.m. Friday came from the 2200 block of Adams St. and from 20th St. A fireworks complaint came from Williams St. at 10:37 p.m., and another fireworks complaint came from 27th St. at 10:50 p.m. At 5:32 p.m. Sunday, someone in the 300 block of Walnut St. reported hearing several shots fired in the area.
A vehicle allegedly driven by Jayten Strunk was eastbound on 27th St. around 11:57 p.m. Saturday and struck a parked vehicle, then pulled forward and struck another parked vehicle before leaving the area. Strunk was later stopped and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of the accident.
Theft of a debit card from 2115 Sunset Road was reported at 12:05 a.m. Sunday.
An anonymous caller at 12:22 a.m. Sunday reported smelling burnt marijuana in the 3900 block of Forest Ave. An officer contacted Forrest Rupp, 21, at 3900 Forest Apt. 5 and he was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, with bond set at $2,500.
A known person was served a notice to appear in municipal court for battery, after allegedly throwing a bottle and striking a subject in the head in the 800 block of Stone St., as reported at 2:53 a.m. Sunday.
A parked motorcycle at 4107 10th St. was damaged sometime Saturday night.
Someone used a rock to break the side window on a vehicle at 237 Chestnut St., it was reported Sunday.
Sierra Cross was driving east in the 3900 block of 10th St at 12:03 p.m. Sunday and sideswiped a vehicle driven by Miguel Perales.
Theft of a wallet from a shopping cart at 3503 10th St. was reported Sunday evening. A short time later, the victim reported someone charging $44.12 worth of merchandise to a stolen debit card.
A counterfeit $20 bill was found in the cash drawer at Pizza Hut, 2006 Main, on Sunday night.

Barton County Sheriff
A motorist pulled out in front of a truck on U.S. 56 and SW 40 Ave. at 7:43 a.m. Friday and the vehicle’s bumper was taken off. The truck was not damaged and no one was injured. The Barton County Sheriff’s Office reports there was heavy fog at the time.
Four tires and two riding lawn mowers were stolen from an abandoned farm three miles west and one mile south of Odin, it was reported Friday.
A steel building at 144 SE 20 Ave. was burglarized, it was reported Saturday. Two handguns, keys and a chain saw were missing.
Three stop signs were down at North U.S. 281 and NW 150 Road,  and at NW 150 Road and NW 60 Ave., it was discovered Sunday. A stop sign at NE 110 Ave. and NE 20 Road had been “shot up.”
