Firefighters made seven ambulance runs Thursday. There were no fires.

Kansas Highway Patrol
A Russell man sustained possible injury Friday when his vehicle hit a deer on Interstate 70 in Russell County. Dalton Charles Davis, 18, was in a westbound Chevy Silverado 1.5 miles east of the Bunker Hill exit when a deer came out of the north ditch into the roadway. After the truck hit the deer, Davis drove himself to Russell Regional Hospital. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Great Bend Police
A forgery which allegedly occurred in Wichita was reported to Great Bend police Thursday and a case was taken.
Theft of medication from 2213 McCormick St. was reported.
Someone scratched a door on a vehicle at 1500 Kansas Ave.
A motorist was eastbound in the 4900 block of 10th St. at 5:48 p.m. Thursday when the left front wheel came off. The vehicle was moved out of the roadway.
A theft of services case was taken after a subject left a prepaid debit card to pay for his food Thursday evening at Montana Mike’s restaurant, 906 McKinley St., and the card had a zero balance.
A female reportedly stole a pair of jeans from The Buckle for Guys & Gals store, 1313 Main, Thursday evening.
A juvenile arrest was made at a Great Bend address around 6 a.m. Friday, and notices to appear in municipal court were issued to a 35-year-old woman at that address for contributing to a child’s misconduct and obstruction.

Barton County Sheriff
Theft of a brass valve from a tank battery at 2150 NE 110 Ave. was reported Wednesday.
At 8:07 p.m. Wednesday a motorist reported there was a pig on U.S. 56 east of Pawnee Rock. It was put back by a Kansas Highway Patrol officer.
A vehicle was eastbound in the 600 block of SE 20 Road to 6:19 a.m. Thursday when a deer ran out of the ditch and struck the front driver-side quarter panel.
A non-injury accident occurred a mile south and a mile west of Claflin on the Camp Aldrich Road (884 NE 110) Ave., when a car and a semitrailer collided at 1:21 p.m. Thursday.
